Packing Tape

Our standard packing tape is available in clear and buff (brown), in both low-noise and eco formulations. Low-noise tape unrolls quietly, which is useful in office or shared despatch environments. Our eco tape is made from 100% recycled polypropylene, making it the more sustainable choice, and it comes on longer 92-metre rolls compared to 66 metres on the low-noise option. This gives you around 40% more tape per roll and a lower cost per metre. Available in 6-packs and 36-packs with volume discounts.

Fragile Tape

Printed with a clear “FRAGILE” warning, this tape alerts handlers to take extra care with your parcels. It is a visible, low-cost way to reduce handling damage on delicate items. Available in standard polypropylene (92m rolls) and in a Kraft paper version for businesses that prefer a plastic-free alternative. Supplied in 6-packs and 36-packs.

Kraft Tape

A paper-based packing tape made from Kraft material. Fully recyclable alongside cardboard, with no need for your customers to separate it before recycling. Kraft tape is a practical choice for businesses working to reduce plastic in their packaging. Available plain or printed with a fragile warning, in 6-packs and 36-packs.

Choosing the Right Packing Tape

The best tape for your business depends on what you are sealing, how your parcels are handled, and whether reducing plastic is a priority.

The Eco Tape is made from 100% recycled polypropylene, making it a more sustainable option for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact. At 92 metres per roll, it also offers significantly more tape than the low-noise option, which reduces the frequency of roll changes and lowers your cost per metre. It is available in both clear and buff. The trade-off is that it unrolls with the standard level of noise, which may not be ideal for quieter environments.

If you regularly despatch fragile items, adding Fragile Tape to your process gives couriers and warehouse handlers a visible prompt to take extra care. It does not replace proper internal cushioning, but it can help reduce rough handling and the damage that comes with it.

Kraft Tape is the right choice for businesses that want their entire parcel to be recyclable without the customer needing to peel off plastic tape before recycling the box. It is made from paper, tears cleanly by hand and goes straight into standard recycling. This can also help with the presentation of your parcels, particularly for brands that want to communicate a commitment to sustainability.

Polypropylene Tape vs Kraft Paper Tape

Standard polypropylene packing tape and Kraft paper tape both do the job of sealing boxes securely, but they differ in a few practical ways.

Polypropylene tape is the more established choice and tends to be slightly cheaper per roll. It is moisture-resistant, sticks well in most conditions and comes in longer rolls (66m or 92m compared to 50m for Kraft). Our eco polypropylene tape is made from 100% recycled material, so it is a more sustainable option even before switching to paper-based alternatives. Polypropylene tape is recyclable, though it does need to be removed from the box and collected separately.

Kraft tape is made from paper with a natural rubber adhesive. It can be recycled with the cardboard box it is stuck to, with no need for separation. It tears by hand without scissors, which can speed up packing. The trade-off is that it is slightly less moisture-resistant than polypropylene, so it may not be the best choice for parcels that are likely to be left outside in wet conditions.

For most indoor despatch operations, either type works well. The decision often comes down to whether plastic-free packaging is a priority for your business or your customers.
