What Is in a Flexi-Hex® Bottle Kit?

Each bottle kit includes the correct number of Flexi-Hex® honeycomb sleeves and a matching cardboard box with a built-in cushioned base. The sleeves are made from expandable honeycomb paper that stretches and wraps around the bottle, absorbing impact from multiple directions. The box features a peel-and-seal closure, so there is no tape or additional sealing equipment required.

The built-in base cushion means the bottles sit on a protective layer inside the box, reducing the risk of damage from drops. Independent testing carried out for Flexi-Hex® has shown effective protection against drops, shock and vibration, making the kits a reliable choice for posting glass bottles by courier or Royal Mail. Single Pinch Top Bottle Kit (370 x 125 x 125mm) holds one standard wine, spirit or beer bottle. The pinch top closure folds down and seals neatly. This is the best-selling kit for single bottle gifts and direct-to-consumer drinks orders. Supplied with 100 boxes and 100 sleeves.

Double Pinch Top Bottle Kit (370 x 245 x 125mm) holds two bottles side by side, each in its own sleeve. Suited to wine pairs, gift sets and tasting packs. Supplied with 100 boxes and 200 sleeves.

Double Fold Top Bottle Kit (360 x 125 x 255mm) is an alternative two-bottle format with a fold top closure.  Giving a different box shape that may suit certain product ranges or shelf displays. Supplied with 100 boxes and 200 sleeves.

Triple Pinch Top Bottle Kit (370 x 360 x 125mm) holds three bottles, each in its own sleeve. Suited to mixed cases, tasting selections and gift sets of three. Supplied with 100 boxes and 300 sleeves.

6 Bottle Kit (400 x 230 x 350mm) holds six bottles with individual sleeves and dividers. Designed for full or half cases of wine, mixed spirit collections and larger gift packs. Supplied with 100 boxes and 600 sleeves.

Box Only Options

If you already have Flexi-Hex® sleeves in stock and need to order boxes separately, we sell the cardboard boxes from each kit as standalone products. Box Only options are available in Single Pinch Top, Double Pinch Top, Triple Pinch Top and 6 Bottle sizes, all packed in 100s. The boxes are identical to those supplied in the full kits, so you can replenish boxes and sleeves separately according to your stock cycles.

Why Use Bottle Boxes for Wine, Spirits and Gifts?

A purpose-built bottle box gives you a more professional finish than a standard cardboard tube or cushioned mailer, and a more reliable level of protection than wrapping a bottle in bubble wrap inside a generic box. The pre-cut, scored design folds quickly into the right shape, the cushioned base and honeycomb sleeve absorb impact through transit, and the peel-and-seal closure leaves a clean finish that looks good when the recipient opens it.

Q: Are the Flexi-Hex® sleeves included with the bottle kits?

Yes. Every bottle kit includes the correct number of Flexi-Hex® honeycomb sleeves to match the number of bottles the box holds. The Single Pinch Top and Fold top kits ship with 100 sleeves, the Double and Double Fold Top kits with 200, the Triple with 300, and the 6 Bottle Kit with 600. If you only need boxes, order the Box Only equivalent.

Q: How long does it take to assemble a Flexi-Hex® bottle kit?

A single bottle kit can be assembled and packed in under 20 seconds per bottle. The cushioned base section is built into the sleeve box: tear off the base, place it in the box, slide the bottle into its sleeve, drop the whole thing in the box, and peel and seal.

Q: What size bottles do the kits fit?

The kits are sized to fit standard 750ml wine, spirit and beer bottles, but there is a tolerance around this. The Flexi-Hex® sleeve has a standard size of 330mm x 35mm x 20mm and stretches to grip bottles within typical commercial diameters. For unusually shaped or oversized bottles, request a sample first to test the fit.

Q: Are the Flexi-Hex® bottle kits DPD approved?

The Single Pinch Top and Double Pinch Top kits are approved by the DPD courier network, which means orders shipped in them are eligible for DPD insurance. This is useful for businesses shipping high-value bottles by courier.
