What Is a Book Wrap?

A book wrap, sometimes called a book wrap mailer or postal wrap, is a flat piece of scored corrugated cardboard that folds around the item being posted. The scored fold lines allow the wrap to be adjusted to the thickness of the contents, so the same wrap can accommodate a single paperback or a thicker hardback. Once folded, an adhesive strip seals the wrap shut, and the parcel is ready to post.

This design differs from a box in that the wrap conforms to the contents rather than enclosing them in a fixed cavity. This means there is less empty space inside the package, which reduces movement during transit and lowers the risk of damage. It also keeps the overall package size to a minimum, which can help with postage costs when sending via Royal Mail or other carriers.

220 x 154 x 50mm is suited to smaller paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, Blu-ray cases and slim items. Packed in boxes of 50.

311 x 240 x 50mm holds standard and larger format paperbacks, A4 documents, catalogues and magazines. Packed in boxes of 40.
