The Garden Trading Company were established in 1994 and are based in Oxfordshire. They offer high quality homeware and outdoor products varying from kitchen accessories, furniture and lighting.
The business trades via retail stores, a wholesale division and directly through their own website.
The Garden Trading Company are always exploring innovative ways to drive new customers to the business and ensuring the customer journey is as efficient and friendly as it can be.
The Garden Trading Company had been approached by the Royal Mail regarding the need to move services to utilise a 2D barcode. This would give The Garden Trading Company customers more visibility of their orders when being delivered and returned.
The Garden Trading Company would have to move away from the traditional pre-populated Royal Mail PPI and evaluate how they could incorporate a 2D barcode for each order. The challenges for The Garden Trading Company were:
- Development time to integrate the Royal Mail Returns and Order Management system
- The cost of integrating the two systems
- Redesigning the despatch note to accommodate a significantly larger 6×4 label.
Forms Plus worked closely with The Garden Trading Company to redesign the despatch note to continue the professional brand image that they are noted for across the home and garden ware sectors.
The despatch note was then designed to ensure the label would fit the form whilst allowing for all of the relevant customer information and returns procedure. Forms Plus then liaised with the Royal Mail on their behalf to generate a pre-printed Royal Mail 2D barcode. Forms Plus delivered:
- Pre-printed returns labels
- Support for The Garden Trading Company when liaising with the Royal Mail
Professional and high quality despatch note.
The new despatch notes look fantastic. The barcoded form does everything needed to ensure the customer has their order information and a clear understanding of how to return items. The pre-printed 6×4 2D barcoded labels ensured that the transition was quick, painless and void of any costly development expenses.
